Maine Lake House on Trails is a website connecting travelers with our family's second homes, that we love to share when we cannot be there to enjoy them ourselves! The "Inn" (not really an Inn, but the name stuck!) sleeps 16, and offers a true cabin getaway. The Lakeside Getaway is right next door, sleeps 8, and offers a comfortable, nautical feel. Both properties offer kayaks and a private dock slip, as well as full kitchens, 2 full baths, and all the comforts and amenities of home. Both properties are waterfront with amazing views, and are located immediately on ATV & snowmobile trails - ride right from the driveway! Just a short walk to hiking trails, an 8 minute drive to the Kennebec River, and just a 35 minute drive to Sugarloaf for skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking. It is also said that silver mines exist along the hiking trails, but I've never found those myself...
